Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you, If you're young at heart

I'm a University student. I still can't really believe it. I still feel like i'm around 14 years old. Technically i'm an adult now..will I ever really feel like an adult. I'm feel like i'm waiting for this defineing moment to feel it, but does that ever really happen. You think something like first day of University would do it.

So enough about rambling about life, let me tell you about my first day of University. My first and only class was Into Art Foundations. This was the class I was the most nervous about. Not having much drawing experience I thought everyone was going to be experts. I get there bout a half an hour earlier than my class just so i have some time in case I get lost or miss the bus. I found a face a knew from orientation. So pleased that its the girl that also didn't succeed in admission to the interior design program, also pleased we have the same class! Phew, one familiar face. I walk in and few students are sitting in a laid out circle and the class slowly starts to fill up. Such a relief when the teacher walked in, introduced herself and the class. She explained that this class was very basic some people had never really drawn in their life. We started drawing right stat she walked around and gave us feedback, telling us exactly what we were doing wrong and what we needed to fix in a nice way. Then taught us habits and tricks to drawing what we were going to draw.
I think it's needless to say i'm really going to enjoy Tuesdays. On top of everything the people in the class all seem really nice, non stuck up i'm better than you types. One guy was so proud of his drawing he took a picture with his phone and sent it to his mom and friend he was super proud. He was kinda cute too.

The moment that you speak
I wanna go play hide-and-seek
I wanna go and bounce the moon
Just like a toy balloon

You and I, are just like a couple of tots
Running across a meadow
Picking up lots of forget-me-nots

You make me feel so young
You make me feel there are songs to be sung
Bells to be rung, and a wonderful fling to be flung

Just Visiting

Now that i am 19 my Dad has been begging me to go to the pub ona saturday morning with him so finally this morning I went. Walking in was weird, since I can remember that place has been my dad's second home. I have pictured the inside many many times i don't really know what I expected but it was not what i thought it would be like. It was rather small in there, well i mean smaller than i thought it would be. You always picture bars like those college ones you see on movies or tv shows, this wasn't it. It was more like a 90's feel, kinda tacky and outdated..except the really cool dishwasher that the waitresses just put the glasses on, it was conveyor typesk. The only words I can put into the experience was weird, it just felt odd.

But the food was mervellous and I will definately be going there with friends later on becuase no dish is over 10 dollars, not even one and apoparently its the best food in the lower mainland.

The Key to the Kingdom

Toy Story 3 = FANTASTIC.
I seriously felt like I was seven again. Koby once descrided watching a 2 year old watch Homeward Bound and how when little kids watch movies they mimic every emotion and truly feel everything happening in the movie. Well I was that two year old on the edge of my seat - laughing, sighing, gasping, eye brows furrowed, and mouth gaped open. There was several points in the movie where i became aware of my facial expressions, or when I sighed my friend looked over at my adorably as if i really was 2.

The crying part wasn't very childish. I have grown up with this movie and as Andy has grown up so have I. The whole nostalgia of the movie really touched me. Showed me again what it was like to be a kid and I think it has really sunk in that that part of my childhood was over. Well it kinda has been for a while, the whole playing with toys, making up crazy out of this world stories and senarios, I just really never realised it through my teen years. I miss the innocense of childhood - How everything was carefree. It reminds me of a poem I read a few times in high school called The Key to the Kingdom. The poem's mainly about once your an adult you loose the abilitly to imagine things like wood into swords and trash can's into garbage cans. I wish I could still pursue my dreams and do all I do know and still be that exact person. Just like the poem, I guess children really do have an imaginary key to a whole different world that truly does exist...Just not to us anymore.

Nine"teen"?

So Monday was my 19th Birthday. It seems like I have been waiting to be 19 forever. Well I guess i have because I haven't been nineteen since I was born. But I was seriously so excited, I really cannot fathom why. Do you remember when you were 9 and it was the night before your 10th birthday and you were sooo excited to be in the double digits, or when you turned 13 and you were finally a teenager? I guess its the fact that when your 19 your actually considered an adult. I mean technically 19 is still a "teen" but your no longer seen as a immature adolesent anymore.

Anyways I opened all my cards at midnight.. wait until the morning are you kidding me? found a total of $125 in them AND a lottery ticket cause now i'm legal WHAT! Thought for sure i was gonna be a millionairre and be thanking my mom for the best gift ever. Sadly I checked the draw yesterday, and well, I only won $5. I got to meet up with one of my bestest friends Paula to hang out then headed to my brithday dinner at the wonderful earls. They put us in this sweet room that seemed secret, it was magical. Got some gifts wonderful gifts: pretty sweet dress, 2 headbands, and a book i'm excited to start reading.

Maybe it wasn't the most amazing packed, out of this world day. But the fact I just got to spend it with some of my closest friends was enough. And I realised I have some pretty special people in my life. :)
