Marianne St-Gelais wins the silver medal in Women's 500m short track.

And what a way to win today being her birthday with her boyfriend, who is also a medal favourite in mens!

Yay I love the olympics, this win got me emotional.

Right after shw won semi finals it showed her running to her boyfriend to get a huge well deserved hug.

Gahh so exciting to be able share this with your family and the guy you love.

GOLD - I SAY SO

GOLD AGAIN!

So i wake up this morning come down stairs and do the usual:

curl up on the couch and turn on the TV.

Only to find that we won another gold!

YEAH CANADA.

Congrats to the local Vancouverite.

What a surprise to see a her win. Now she can look back on the Olympics positively.

She was favourite at the last winter Olympics in Turin in which she unfortunately had a huge accident leaving her with no memory of the event she partook in.

Way to come back Maelle.

PS. I LOVE her name.

Some may hate but I'm enjoying every minute of the:
VANCOUVER 2010 OLYMPICS!
Hosting is a once in a lifetime thing, and yes it may put us in debt but come guys we're Vancouver it was bound to come to us someday.
I get to go downtown with the family on Thursday. I wish I could live down there right now. This event is amazing its bringing all Canadians together. It doesn't matter if your young or old, male or female, enemies or friends, ALL Canadian citizens have united in excitement for this celebration of Canada and its people.

OUR FIRST MEDAL: SILVER

JENNIFER HEIL take the first Canadian medal on home soil in Women's moguls. She was so close to Gold, but I still couldn't be prouder.

This was the first event I got the honor of watching. I remember sitting on the couch all cozy with the family. Legs crossed, eyes keen, and hands in fists waiting to just up and cheer as she crossed the finish line. Then Hannah Kearney goes next, as she was last and right after Heil. I know its kinda selfish and mean but I kept hoping she would wipe out, same as two or three of her fellow American Moguler's.

OUR SECOND MEDAL: BRONZE

KRISTINA GROVES takes our second medal medal in the women's 3000 m Speed Skating.
Unfortuneately, I did not get to see this event. But I had so much more hope for this event. I believe all our women moved on in the preliminaries and all were medal hopeful's. Its to bad our previous gold medalist Cindy Klassen did not take Gold or get very far in the speed skating events. She has had a hard past few years with double knee surgery from her accident. No one did expect her to do as well as she did. I think she still have a few more events ahead of her so good luck to her.







OUR THIRD MEDAL: GOLD

ALEX BILODEAU take the FIRST GOLD on home soil. WOOT WOOT WOOT!
I saw this event at work. He's one of our spokespeople for Mcdonalds so we have a poster of him in our lobby. One of my crew people claims he is her "husband" and cheered like crazy. She left a note for my Restaurant Manager asking to keep the poster home. Then she said in a very evil way, "My friends will be so jealous," Oh Jillian how I love you. What a great win for Canada, for a very good looking Canadian :) Too bad he's taken!




OUR FORTH MEDAL: SILVER

MIKE ROBERSTON take the silver in Men's Snowboard cross. We're just raking them in now!

I didn't get to see this event either, sadly. Not even the replays. But YES CANADA! I don't think we used to barely even rank in snowboarding now we're showing the world what we got. Home soil advantage has proven well. Every one thought the USA would sweep the ground with snowboarding but we squeezed in and showed them americans we can play ball with them. Well done Robertson!

So what do you say Canada?
Lets make those predictions come true.

43 DAYS until my best friend leaves me for 6 WEEKS.

What am I going to do for a whole 6 weeks with out my best friend! jhajsdlfhlajdkfsd

I am kinda excited though because i'm going to make her something to bring with her and buy a teddy or something that she is going to pretend is me and she can take pictures with me on the beach. Maybe i'll make it a barbie because then it can actually go on the beautiful beaches. I will be able to say I've been to Costa Rica. She's also gone for her the date she finally turns 19 years of age. That sounded a tad awkward. I also finally came to conclusion that I like this guy I work with, but of course knowing me when my brain and heart finally decides to work together and figure things out its two days before he leaves for whistler for 2 months to work at the olympics. For one months I will be with out my BESTEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE WIDEST WORLD and the only one keeping me sane.. or maybe a little insane at work.

And wanna hear something really good about this so called boy I like. He's also a leader at a youth. Has a strong passion for god and is kinda arsty and a good dresser. One catch... he's been insanely head over heals for one of his best friends for 3 years. But come on thats gotta end one day.... soon?

WOW! Vampire Diaries is getting sooo good! I love the flashbacks and the twists that have come up in the last two or three episode I never ever could have guessed! I especially LOVE the flashback. And the dresses and style back then gorgeous. I wish we could wear dresses like that everyday and the jewelery is exquisite.

I can't wait for next week. If that tomb gets open I don't know what will happen next. Obviously someone close to Elena will get killed. But what I don't understand is how Anna is Elena's mom. Vampires can't procreate. Unless... nevermind I don't even know what to think.

Gah next thursday is so far away! All i can say is after the winter break Vampire Diaries really came back with a bang. I hope not too big because there better be a second season :)
