'Nough Said
Running on no sleep. In a few minute me, Gab, Chanel, Paula, Jeremy are about you accompany the wonderful, amazing, fantastic Letitia to the airport. I wanted to add so many more adjectives..but i'm too tired to think of any. It has been a long wonderful night. listening to music and just chillen. We made a wonderful cake...well i made it paul and gabe just chilled on the computer butching the song "Battlefield" in their own way. It was horrendous.

This is the wonderful story why this amazing girl is leaving us.
She has gotten the oppurtunity to begin her dream to work with girl that have been trafficed or prostituted. It is so inspiring what god has planned for this lady. So she will be moving to Bradford, England for two years. She will be so incredibly missed but this adventure has been planned for her from the beginning and its gonna be a life changer. So good luck to her, Love her most dearly.

Found it!

The Key of the Kingdom by Ed Reed
When we were children we possessed the key to a kingdom such as this world has yet to see.
Wherever we went by lakes, pools and streams, in woods, meadows, and fields,
There was a world beyond belief in which anything could be something else.
A world whose every corner would yield some new adventure or surprise.
A world in which we ruled and was ours alone.

Only we children had the key, the key of the kingdom.

A world inhibited by goblins, dragons, trolls, witches, and green-skinned three-eyed floops.
A world of enchanted geography, magic forests, glass mountains and fountains of youth.

In this world we held our castles made of TV boxes against marauding bands of Vikings.
Armed with swords made of lattice and shields taken from the tops of garbage cans.

We sailed with Columbus across the uncharted waters of a lily pond.
We descended with Captain Nemo to 20,000 leagues beneath the bathwater.
We went west with the pioneers by coaster wagon,
And to the East with Marco Polo by tricycle.
We defied savage Indians from the next block and returned alive in time for an afternoon nap.
We hunted fierce man-eating squirrels,
We dared damnation by taking the trainer the trainer wheels off our first bicycle.
We did a zillion billion other brave, courageous, bold, fun things.

Now that we are older, wiser and more mature this kingdom no longer has our allegiance.
We have lost the key and it has perished with the rest of the misuse and neglect.

Age is the grave yard of all our youthful hopes, dreams and experiences.

I found the poem online. The poem that I have loved since I read it in Miss. Moffatt's Grade 9 english class. It popped up about two other times during high school.

The Key to the Kingdom

Toy Story 3 = FANTASTIC.
I seriously felt like I was seven again. Koby once descrided watching a 2 year old watch Homeward Bound and how when little kids watch movies they mimic every emotion and truly feel everything happening in the movie. Well I was that two year old on the edge of my seat - laughing, sighing, gasping, eye brows furrowed, and mouth gaped open. There was several points in the movie where i became aware of my facial expressions, or when I sighed my friend looked over at my adorably as if i really was 2.

The crying part wasn't very childish. I have grown up with this movie and as Andy has grown up so have I. The whole nostalgia of the movie really touched me. Showed me again what it was like to be a kid and I think it has really sunk in that that part of my childhood was over. Well it kinda has been for a while, the whole playing with toys, making up crazy out of this world stories and senarios, I just really never realised it through my teen years. I miss the innocense of childhood - How everything was carefree. It reminds me of a poem I read a few times in high school called The Key to the Kingdom. The poem's mainly about once your an adult you loose the abilitly to imagine things like wood into swords and trash can's into garbage cans. I wish I could still pursue my dreams and do all I do know and still be that exact person. Just like the poem, I guess children really do have an imaginary key to a whole different world that truly does exist...Just not to us anymore.

Sunny Serenity

Just got home from getting a wonderful first Pedicure ever with Miss Letitia; I have already messed up one big toe. Waiting for my favourite girlies to arrive, cause I have a wonderful suprise for them! Working on it right now while listening to some good ol' country.

The Urban Gypsy

After stumbling around Metrotown me and two lovely friends, Chanel and Letitia, we headed to new west to stumble around Columbia street. Went back to this amazing wall I had found with some other friends a few weeks ago. This wall is vintage brick painted in the sunniest sky blue ever. As we were gazing in awe and snapping pictures we came across the owner who let us in the gates to take pictures right inside. I asked if she had a business in the building, and in fact she did, a women’s shelter. I think Letitia's heard skipped a beat when she mentioned this. Immediately after we strolled around the corner and found a what looked like a cute like antique furniture store, not aware of what we would find. After the first step in all three of us were inspired and taken away, running our fingers along vintage universal pieces. The owner noticed out awe and came to talk, it's then we realized this was a God thing. He talked about his travels. He had found and bought all the pieces in the store, most from Asia. Letitia and Chanel talked about their future travels and he was quite interested in their future plans. It was pretty fantastic the conversation included more and it was God initiated definitely.

Just wanted to share the amazing wall.
These are three of my friends by the way
Paula, Gabbi, and Kira

I have now decided the destination of my future Design Firm will be New Westminster. This store also opened the idea of adjacently owning a store quite similar to this along with my firm. I started thinking about when my firm has its feet rooted in the ground I can go travel and bring back amazing pieces from all over the world. Be able to talk to my bestest friends who could be anywhere in the world and have them e-mail me a picture of a find and i'll be able to say send it over and pay for the shipping.

Then spent the evening with the Lovely Mia, (who is officially home, I have seen it in person to confirm), and friends.

I'm sad i'm bidding farewell to one friend in a few day and am starting another friends departure present soon after. But I’m excited for the future and where ever it takes us. I know wherever in this world we are, our hearts are in the same place and God has a bright and brilliant future for ALL of us. Wherever we are he is always home, therefore we'll always be together.

Bitter SWEET

Yesterday was the longest, yet most wonderful jam packed days of my life. to sum it up - church, kids camp, wildfire on a sunday!, chill at a park, Boston Pizza, and to finish it off a midnight swim...with some entertainment. I'm so excited for the coming week, i think its gonna be full of all the same things and MIA COMES HOME :)
But the Letitia leaves. Mia's year away just flew by..two years will go just as fast, right?right>

And my bestest friend ever is finally employed with ME!
I'm her boss - weird.

Comatosis State

I don't think i have spent one day at home in the month of July. I have been getting lots of shifts which is pretty awesome because i went from full time to basically half of that and the weather has been gorgeous! And apparently that giant blister on my foot (which is now almost gone) has not kept me from doing anything...besides going to the soccer game downtown....but i overslept for that anyways and Gab works a little longer. I have been soo tired. I fell asleep at I think 6 last night woke up for a half an hour to send an e-mail then fell back asleep until 1. So thats 19 hours of sleep! What was I, in a coma? I clearly needed it because this was the result the day before at work...

I accidentally knocked over an ice cream cone.. then just stared at it and then like a three year old smushed it all over the counter without realising what i was doing until i noticed jasmeen one of my employees starting at me laughing.

But thats okay two more shifts then...
TWO WEEKS OFF! :)

A Grand Adventurous Day

Today I got the oppurtunity to do something I NEVER thought I would do. I went....dragonboating. Weird right? But so much fun! take 60 swing managers from the surrey and put them in the water doing something they would have never thought of - yeah guess you could call that fun. It was actually quite easy, and kinda fun. Except the girl infront of me could not figure it out and madly splashed my the entire time. Not just little splashes like full on shoveling water in my face when we were racing fast. It being salt water I could not keep my eyes open, so I instead just closed my eyes and wildly paddled out of time, which apparently is the most important thing because you go faster when everyone paddles at the same time makes sense right?

In the evening I got to be the photographer for the "Galilie Girls", our kids camp singing.....sensation? The rivals to "The Bethlaham Boys". It was grand, artsy photos on some of the coolest streets in New West. So makes we want to go spend and entire day taking photos then finish it off with a little shop in the cute botique's and dinner in a cute cafe! Hopefully that is something I can do this summer.

Saturday Nights at your Neighbourhood Mcdonalds.

I just got home from one the most eventful Latenight's I have ever worked. Because my restuarant is right across from the Mirage we get alot of drunk people masquerading around and packing themselves in my lobby between the times of say 12 to 3:30am. I only have to do one friday night and saturday night a month, they can be fun when you bring mix cd's, pump yourself on red bull, and stack your night with the best crew. For me thats Janessa, Zsa Zsa, and Tala. Tonight in particular was extra fun. Reason being at about 2:30 a n ex-employee drove her car into the side of our building. Exciting right? It wasn't done on purpose, but that girl is gonna have some hefty charges and say goodbye to ever driving. Wanna hear the details, cause their quite amusing. First off i walk outside first thing I see is the car in our bushes, (which by the way I do have a picture..i just can't get it off my phone to the computer) then instantly see Amy fumble near to me and faint. Thing is she started stressing, and should have cause-
1. She doesn't have a licence, not even her L.
2. She's under age and drunk and high.
3. She has stolen this car from her mom.
4. When the cops id'd her she showed them her fake licence.

I started to feel bad for her situation, but she got herself there. Maybe this whole debacle will knock some senses back into her and she can change her lifestyle, because i'm pretty sure reality will hit when she throws some of her life away to work and pay back all these damagers and she can't drive for years.

Anyways that was my wonderful night at work...now of to a fun filled day of church with the many splendid people i do life with.

These boot AREN'T made for walking

New goal - start writing in this er'day. :)

I don't think I have had one uneventful day this week. For reals, it has been so sunny and nice out. And I normally don't talk this gangsta, must be how unbelievabably tired i am. Up for 22 hours and counting so far.

And yesterday morning (well still today for me, but we'll get to that later) I met up with my dear friends Paula and Yaisa for a day of shopping. Goal - Get Paula a dress for saturday's wedding. Yeah never happened...got a little sidetracked all day. I bought a buttload of stuff.

I also got The Born Ruffians CD and two dresses.
The only thing else on my shopping list is sandals, a jean jacket, shorts and a few summer cardigans,

So I have worked all night long, and my body is almost to sore to move and my feet feel like their going to fall off; I think I'm going to bed.
G'night All.

Nine"teen"?

So Monday was my 19th Birthday. It seems like I have been waiting to be 19 forever. Well I guess i have because I haven't been nineteen since I was born. But I was seriously so excited, I really cannot fathom why. Do you remember when you were 9 and it was the night before your 10th birthday and you were sooo excited to be in the double digits, or when you turned 13 and you were finally a teenager? I guess its the fact that when your 19 your actually considered an adult. I mean technically 19 is still a "teen" but your no longer seen as a immature adolesent anymore.

Anyways I opened all my cards at midnight.. wait until the morning are you kidding me? found a total of $125 in them AND a lottery ticket cause now i'm legal WHAT! Thought for sure i was gonna be a millionairre and be thanking my mom for the best gift ever. Sadly I checked the draw yesterday, and well, I only won $5. I got to meet up with one of my bestest friends Paula to hang out then headed to my brithday dinner at the wonderful earls. They put us in this sweet room that seemed secret, it was magical. Got some gifts wonderful gifts: pretty sweet dress, 2 headbands, and a book i'm excited to start reading.

Maybe it wasn't the most amazing packed, out of this world day. But the fact I just got to spend it with some of my closest friends was enough. And I realised I have some pretty special people in my life. :)
