Project Summer 2010

So I have decided i'm going to accomplish alot this summer. I'm looking at it as a way to get me moticated before going back to school so I stop being such a procrastinator.

1) Keep my dear friend Eduardo alive
This is a test because every pet I have I never properly take care of; usually involving me not cleaning its cage. If I can keep Eduardo alive along with a few more additions I think i'll be ready for some other pet. Maybe we'll start small with a Goldfish.

2) Learn Piano
I've always had a love formusic. When I was little my dream wasn't to be a teacher like all the others; I wanted to be a singer. Although I kept it a secret to myself. I'm excited to pursue this new idea. I know its going to take a lot of work and practice, who's gonna keep me accountable.

3) GO CAMPING WITH FRIENDS!
I want to do this so much since May long weekend was sooo much fun last weekend with the bestests. I want a week where me and my friends can go into the wilderness sit by the campfire and talk about anything all weekend. Talk about god, inspire each other, pray, and worship. I just think the whole weekend would be amazing for all of us to just get away.

4) Start a sketchbook/paint more
I'm taking drawing next year in college and i'm a little intimidated. Since i didn't draw all that much through high school besides grade 12, I don't want to go into the class starting with nothing. I want the class to just carry on from where I was not feeling like i'm the biggest noob in the class.

So for now that is all. I'm sure I'll come up with more, but lets just see how I do with this.

Post-Seconday Frustration

Tonight i'm registering for courses for my first year of College and I know feel like the people at the registration know my voice off by heart. I phoned 7 times today, okay thats an exaggeration, but i phoned quite alot back to back. I go to register and now it won't let me take the courses I want.

Is there such a program that will let me take what ever course I please without having to fit restrictions and prerequisites to my program. I don't want to take any math or science courses.

My Dear Friend

You would think only so much can go wrong
Calamity only strikes once
And you assume this one has suffered her share
Life will be kinder from here
Oh, but sometimes the sun stays hidden for years
Sometimes the sky rains night after night
When will it clear?

But our Hope endures the worst of conditions
It's more than our optimism
Let the earth quake
Our Hope is unchanged

How do we comprehend peace within pain?
Or joy at a good man's wake?
Walk a mile with the woman whose body is torn
With illness but she marches on
Oh, 'cause sometimes the sun stays hidden for years
Sometimes the sky rains night after night
When will it clear?

But our Hope endures the worst of conditions
It's more than our optimism
Let the earth quake
Our Hope is unchanged

Emmanuel, God is with us
El Shaddai, all sufficient
We never walk alone
And this is our hope

But our Hope endures the worst of conditions
It's more than our optimism
Let the earth quake
Our Hope is unchanged

I love you Samantha <3

The "Real World"

So it's June. That time of year when school winds down, and the summer feelings start to pick up. Plans are made but most never followed. The beach towels and the bathing suits are brought out while the turtle necks and scarfs are put to the back of closets.
Every Monday Grad's are posting picture from their proms. All the pretty dresses, the limos. It's making me a tad nostalgic. Don't get me wrong I don't miss high school I guess I just miss school.
PS. I'm stoked to actually be going to college next year! YES!
I can't believe the fact that I have been graduated a year. Out in the real world so people call it. It doesn't even feel that different. I feel like I've been spending my whole life to prepare for this so called "real world." And this is it?

So this past year I have learned so much about myself it isn't even funny, yet sometime i feel like what i thought i learned didn't end up being true.
Contemplated getting promoted, to wanting to quit my job all together. I apparently can't decide if I love it or hate it.
Wanted to move out but just couldn't justify the finances, because my family situation is just unbearable.
I am doing things and in charge of things I didn't even think I would ever be involved in, proving just how much god is in control. But that's a whole other post altogether.
Found out who my real friends really are, no longer do you have to make small talk with the people you sit beside, or are in your high school "clique"
I got to find out who I can really do life with, and that I definitely love my bestest friends, and the people I have become much closer to. Here's the thing, when high school is over and done with you know the ones that count are the ones you still make an effort to stay in touch with.

Many people told me, "No, don't take the year off, you'll never go back to school. You're going to do nothing with your life."
Truth = This year was the best thing I have done for myself. No, I may be miserable at work at the moment, but hey school has always been easy for me, and i knew this wouldn't be. All of the above wouldn't have happened if I didn't. I wouldn't have been sure of everything I am of now. First and foremost, my relationship with god has grown tremendously. He has opened so many doors for me and given me so many experiences that the rest of my life will never be the same.

So I'm going to stop writing this essay now, pce.

Oh and now blogger isn't even letting me post pictures in my blogs, thnx alot!
